Interesting metaphor, You have more than 8-10 lines. There are two lines that I completely understand "People can't choose which one they get"We learn to live with the one we were given" Great use of imagery. There is nothing to improve. Awesome job!

The comparison is a simile not a metaphor, enough lines, free verse, I believe this is an effective line “crystal flowers”, I really like how you worded snowflakes into another word than snowflake, maybe try to not use the same word in the same line

your poem was a metaphor it had 8-10 lines even more then 10. it was free verse an effective line was “so stop trying to stop the clock” because it means like you just have to keep going. it was a very good poem very there was no improvement needed.
