Resume Tips -
- Education about Experience or vice versa - most high school students include the Education section directly after the objective. However, if you have experience that relates directly to the job your are applying for, you should place the Experience section above Education.
- Use action words, in point form (accomplish, achieve, analyse, adapt, balance, collaborate, coordinate, communicate, compile, conduct, contribute, complete, create, delegate, direct, establish, expand, improve, implement, invent, increase, initiate, instruct, lead, organize, participate, perform, present, propose, reorganize, research, set up, supervise, support, train, travel, work (effectively, with others)
- Limit your resume to one page.
2. Go to Google Classroom and complete Cover Letter Research. Research a job that you can apply for tomorrow or a dream job (after your apprenticeship/training/education).
3. Go to MyBlueprint and click on Cover Letter - complete the assignment.
Put both the RESUME and COVER LETTER in your CLE folder.
